WMC Reels Competition 2025

Objective:
To promote and celebrate the richness of Kerala’s culture, heritage, and traditional values through creative short video reels.

Rules and Regulations

1. Eligibility:
The competition is open for Everyone.
Participants can compete individually or as a team (maximum 4 members per team). Each Team must include at least one member aged above 18 years.

2. Theme:
The reel must be based on the subject “God's own country Kerala”, reflecting Kerala’s culture, art, festivals, lifestyle, heritage, or traditional values.
Content can be presented in Malayalam or English, with subtitles encouraged if needed.

3. Reel Specifications:
Duration: Maximum 120 seconds (2 minutes).
Format: Vertical video (9:16 aspect ratio) suitable for Instagram or Facebook Reels.
File format: MP4 / MOV.
Resolution: Minimum 720p (HD).

4. Originality:
The reel must be original and created by the participant(s). One participant should wear the chest number in a clearly visible manner.
Use of copyrighted music, footage, or material is not allowed unless it’s royalty-free or properly credited.
Plagiarized or AI-generated content will lead to disqualification.

5. Submission Guidelines:
Submit your reel via email or WhatsApp to the designated WMC contact before the deadline.
Along with your reel, include:
Participant name(s)
Contact details (email & phone number)
Short description or title of your reel (max 30 words)

6. Judging Criteria:
Entries will be evaluated based on:
Creativity and originality (25%)
Relevance to the theme ,
Cultural authenticity and presentation (35%)
Technical quality and editing (15%)
Audience engagement (likes/shares) (25%)

7. Prizes:
Winners will receive:
​The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will each receive a Cash Prize, a Trophy, and a Certificate.
​Additionally, selected reels will be featured on the official WMC social media pages.

8. General Conditions:
The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding.
WMC reserves the right to use submitted reels for promotional and cultural purposes, with due credit to creators.
Any entries found violating rules will be disqualified without notice.

9. Registration Deadline: Last date of Register on Oct 20th, 2025. After registration you will receive Chest number thru Email / WhatsApp.
Last Date for Reels Submission: Oct 25th, 2025.
